I am focused on moving forward, learning more, and finding rewarding work.
I have over 20 years experience the design field from graphics production to multi-platform eCommerce UX. These firms have ranged in size from domestic to global and from single to multi-industry corporate scope. In each firm, I refined the design process, tuning to the needs of the firm and its stakeholders.
Over time, I have built the skills needed to break down the ‘language barrier’ between business stakeholders, users, and designers. Now as an MBA candidate, I am focusing on using design methods to deliver on critical benefits while reducing risk across the organization and customers.
I prioritize creating and maintaining tight-knit, high-performing design teams through a combination of servant leadership and strategic executive thinking
In the past, I have mentored individual members of teams, offering coaching and career development. Through teaching a UX course at General Assembly in Washington, DC and mentoring individual designers, I helped numerous designers find direction and growth in the design field. Designers have gone on to great careers, at all the big names you’re thinking of.
A native if the Washington DC suburbs, I now live in San Diego, California with my wife and family.
