Over the last 20 years, I have built the skills needed to break down the ‘language barrier’ between business stakeholders, users, and designers. This combination of skills, culminating in a recent MBA, delivers critical enterprise value while reducing risk to the organization and customers.
My foocus on creating and maintaining tight-knit, high-performing design teams through a combination of servant leadership and strategic executive thinking.
My journey ranges from graphics production to multi-platform eCommerce UX. These firms have ranged in size from domestic to global and from single to multi-industry corporate scope. In each firm, I refined the design process, tuning to the needs of the firm and its stakeholders.
In the past, I have mentored individual members of teams, offering coaching and career development. Through teaching a UX course at General Assembly in Washington, DC and mentoring individual designers, I helped numerous designers find direction and growth in the design field. Designers have gone on to great careers, at all the big names you’re thinking of.
A native if the Washington DC suburbs, I now live with my family in San Diego, California.
